Audition Prep
When it comes to auditioning, preparation is key.
Bak & Dreyfoos auditions will be here before you know it. Don't wait until the last minute to prepare for their next 3–4 years!
I work privately with students of all ages and have earned the reputation of being one of South Florida’s top coaches in theatre audition prep for schools of the arts, most notably Bak Middle School and Dreyfoos High School of the arts. I offer private training for Bak theatre, DSOA Theatre (Acting, technical theatre & musical theatre tracks), the American Heritage theatre program, college theatre auditions & show auditions. (Monologues and/or cold reads.) In-person or virtual sessions.

Do You Help with the Singing/Pitch Matching?
No. I’m not a trained vocal coach, but I can recommend some amazing individuals who are. My Musical Theatre students frequently work with me as well as a vocal coach to get the most out of their audition, since students are heavily scored on their acting as well as their vocals in this audition.

Do you do virtual sessions?
The short answer is yes, if we must. In-person sessions are MUCH more preferable when working on the physical aspects of the audition.
Do you work with students one-on-one or in pairs?
Both! Students will get a lot out of our sessions either way, but because part of the audition is done in pairs or groups of 3, I find that having the students work together for some sessions prepares them for the experience of working with their peers at the audition. If you have a sibling or friend who’s auditioning, they can work together, or I can try to pair you with another one of my students for some sessions.
Do you work on the vocal aspect of the audition?
No. I’m not a vocal coach, and honestly, they’re not looking for vocal perfection for this audition. I can work with you on the acting portion of the song and can recommend some wonderful vocal coaches if needed. But again, a singing coach is probably unnecessary for the theatre audition.
